Stormwarding is a lightprime magic associated with the Way of the Scholar, fueled by prime ash and hemlock. It grants the user the ability to manipulate the weather, allowing them to summon torrential rain, hail, howling winds, and devastating lightning strikes. Because manipulating the weather requires an immense amount of energy, creating a storm of any significant size typically requires a circle of stormwarden mages holding hands to pool their power.
Prominent stormwardens include the Eldrim Mentors Kythaela, Belstram, and Nalaea. The Prime Mage Trey (Tarathiel) also utilizes stormwarden magic to devastating effect; using the Book of Amplification, he summons a massive, localized tempest to instantly douse a raging fire in Sylrantheas, and calls down lightning to execute the Remnant Warlord Relzeb.
