Receiver Site Alpha

Hidden within the Muir Woods, Receiver Site Alpha is the secretive ground-based anchor for the Cothellon's Ascension plan. When Elanil breaches the invisibility illusion hiding the area, she finds that the forest abruptly opens up into a "vast earthen pit, with metal buildings and a huge claw-like contraption taking up most of the space". One of the corrugated metal buildings bears a warning sign identifying the location: "Fennas Elenathon / Receiver Site Alpha / Building 26 / CAUTION / High intensity darkprime emissions in this area!".

The site is of apocalyptic importance because it is "The place where the great city device got its power from the core of the planet". It acts as a conduit, beaming the planet's core energy upward to the United Sky Cities to fuel the massive gate required for the Conjunction. During the climax of the first conflict with the Cothellon, Arra infiltrates the "earthen pit" and witnesses the full scope of the receiver site before she uses her newly awakened Prime magic to level the facility and destroy the claw device.

I just finished this series. Overall it was a good read, an interesting twist on elves, humans,and other creatures.

I did find it hard to track just who was who and when things were happening with the myriad timelines.

The one thing that truly disappointed me was the introduction of JRR Tolkien into the storyline. It felt like a name drop for attention. I was in the last book, it wasn't needed and almost spoiled the entire read for me. Hence only four stars.

These are great stories and I can't wait to read the next one. I reallybdon't want them to end.

I really liked the plot development in this series of books. I would encourage anyone who enjoys this genre, to read this series. They are a little different to the run of the mill books .

This book just wasn't to my taste in fantasy. I don't read foul language and don't like such darkness. Sorry I ordered the whole series before I realized this.

Loved the 10 book series. Exciting how all the characters merged throughout the books. Had to keep reading no housework for 2 weeks.

The writing was great, but the story was uninspired. After finishing the first book, I did not have enough interest to continue.

Good fun reading. Your use of expletives on occasion was a bit of a shock as they came out of the blue compared to the rest of the narrative, doesn't bother me, just stood out some.
Good stuff

It's a very engrossing series. Definitely doesn't slow down.
