Ashi is classified in elven mythology and ancient history as one of the "seven Prime Planets" created by the Twins. Along with Valar, Mar, Eryn, Sya, Y’abel, and Ayel, Ashi was established as a seed world and cast into the great beyond. According to the scholar Tarathiel's translations, it is one of the designated worlds where elves were "Sent" twenty thousand years ago in order to locate and activate the pieces of the ancient Defense Mechanism (Thangail Gaud) meant to stop the Fall.
