Valar is "the old name for the planet" Valaralda, referring specifically to "the name as it was one hundred thousand years ago and before". It is listed in ancient texts as the primary world of the seven Prime Planets where the Defense Mechanism was built. In elven mythology, some legends claim that the Twins were not actually deities, but rather "regular men who lived on ancient Valar before the Great Awakening".
