Soulspecting is one of the Fourteen Gifts of the Soul, utilized to peer directly into the soul of another living being. The magic requires physical contact with the subject's skin and the use of a Prime Leaf (from any Prime Tree) as a reagent. When the mage opens their mind, the subject's soul appears in their vision as a circular flower with six pie-like slices (representing the six Aspects) and a center circle (the Primal Aspect).
Through this intimate connection, a skilled soulspector can determine a person's exact age, identify their magical Talent, and detect if they are suffering from a soulbind or a soulblock. It is heavily utilized by the ancient Eglarian order, such as the shadowpriest Lionar, and by the rylak Talon to diagnose extreme soulblinding (gatesickness).
