The Old Wharf is one of the city's "shantytown area[s]" located on the Edge of Newfris. Like other shantytown sites, it serves as a desperate refuge for vagrants and those displaced from the city’s upper levels. During her failed attempt to find a topside life, Megan (Phoenix) traveled there seeking a place to stay, but the settlement "rejected her on sight" because she was recognized as a member of Her Majesty’s Navy.
