The gearheads are a highly secretive squad of underkids—publicly fronting as the "trashboys"—who steal topside electric cars, upgrade them into "undercars," and race them through the Under for gambling money. Led by Dust, their true purpose is to build the resources, speed, and subterranean tracks necessary to eventually overthrow the city's corrupt government.
