Atsamirian is a rowdy, disreputable dive bar located in the city of Ilyrion on Valaralda. Standing out from the cleaner parts of the metropolis, it features "pitch black walls and a pitch black door that was standing open, letting out the raucous sound of all the patrons inside," with its name proclaimed on a sign hanging "haphazardly on the outside".
Inside, the narrow and deep room assaults the senses with "the smell of old beer and disinfectant and smoke; loud laughter and shouting and cursing; the shuffling of feet and the clink of glassware". A tarnished, long wooden bar dominates the space, with one wall "lined with liquor bottles; the other with rough signs, graffiti, memorabilia," while the back of the tavern remains obscured in deep shadows. Allain visits this rough establishment while wandering the city, looking for a distraction and a local Valaraldan beer.
